MLB The Show 25 Launches March 18, Skips Game Pass

Sony has announced that MLB The Show 25 will launch on March 18, 2025, celebrating the franchise's 20th anniversary with three cover athletes: Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson. This installment will mark the first time the game is not available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, a significant change since its arrival on Xbox in 2021. Players will need to purchase the game outright as Sony aims to boost sales after the previous title finished outside the top 10 in sales for the first time since 2019. Early access will begin on March 14 for those who opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition. Preorders are set to start on February 4, coinciding with the release of the first gameplay trailer. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
