Two Charged in Joliet Shooting Injuring Three
Jonathan Britton, 32, of Chicago, and Catrell Jordan, 30, of Riverdale, have both been charged in connection with a June 12 shooting during a large gathering outside the Riverwalk Homes Apartments in Joliet, Illinois. The incident resulted in Britton, Jordan, and a third man, 30, being wounded; the third man remains hospitalized in serious condition under police guard and has not been charged. Britton faces multiple felony counts, including aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, reckless and aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of ammunition by a felon, and being an armed habitual criminal. Jordan is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful use of a weapon. Police recovered a firearm and several shell casings at the scene and determined that at least two of the injured men fired shots, with two vehicles also damaged by gunfire. The Will County State’s Attorney Office approved the charges, and authorities are seeking additional information from the public.
