1,800-Year-Old Mosaic Declares Jesus as God

An 1,800-year-old mosaic inscription declaring 'God Jesus Christ' has been discovered beneath the floor of Megiddo prison in Israel, hailed as 'the greatest discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls.' The mosaic, which features the Greek inscription 'The god-loving Akeptous has offered the table to God Jesus Christ as a memorial,' is believed to date back to 230 AD and represents one of the earliest affirmations of Jesus's divinity. Currently on display at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, until July 2025, the mosaic includes images of fish, potentially referencing biblical stories of Jesus's miracles. The excavation, conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority, took four years and revealed profound insights into early Christian beliefs and practices. Controversies surrounding the museum's artifact acquisition have emerged, with concerns regarding its ideological ties.
