American Airlines Launches Charlotte to Aspen Flights December 18
American Airlines is launching a new seasonal flight from Charlotte Douglas International Airport to Aspen, Colorado, starting December 18, marking the first direct service to this popular ski destination from Charlotte. The route will operate three days a week—Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—through March 2026, making it the farthest eastern city that American serves from Aspen. Tickets for the new route will be available for purchase beginning March 31. In addition to the Aspen flights, American is expanding its winter service to various beach destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. This new route complements the airline's existing offerings at Charlotte, where it dominates the market, handling about 90% of all flights. Furthermore, American is set to initiate summer service to Athens, Greece, further enhancing its international network from Charlotte.
