Wander Franco Arrested, Faces Lawsuits in Dominican Republic

22-year-old Major League Baseball player Wander Franco has been arrested in the Dominican Republic for failing to appear at a prosecutor's meeting regarding allegations of inappropriate relationships with minors. He faced these accusations following social media posts in August suggesting his involvement with a girl under 18. Since then, two of the alleged victims have filed lawsuits against him. Previously, in August, both the Major League Baseball and his club, the Tampa Bay Rays, had placed him on paid administrative leave. The Rays continue to assist the ongoing MLB investigation.
