Oklahoma Man Shot After High-Speed Pursuit from Canada to Minnesota

Caleb Coffey, a 34-year-old man from Oklahoma, was shot by law enforcement after leading a high-speed chase that began at the U.S.-Canadian border and ended in Minnesota. The pursuit started after U.S. Customs and Border Protection attempted to stop Coffey, who was driving a black Cadillac and allegedly had firearms in his vehicle. The chase reached speeds exceeding 100 mph, passing through Crookston, Minnesota, before concluding with Coffey sustaining a non-life-threatening injury during the officer-involved shooting. He was taken to a hospital and later booked into custody at the Northwest Regional Correctional Center. The incident is currently under investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Additional context indicates that Coffey was initially confronted at the Pembina Port of Entry in North Dakota before fleeing into Minnesota.
