Arabella Stanton Debuts as Hermione in Harry Potter Audiobooks, HBO Series Filming Underway

A new Harry Potter series by HBO is set to introduce Arabella Stanton as the new Hermione Granger, replacing Emma Watson who originally played the role in all eight films. Stanton will also voice Hermione in the upcoming "Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions," an audiobook series produced by Pottermore Publishing and Audible, featuring over 200 performers and cinematic sound effects. The audiobook series will release starting November 4, 2025, with Stanton voicing Hermione for the first three books, while different actors will take over the roles in later installments. Stanton’s performance in the audiobooks has been praised for capturing Hermione’s wit and poise, and it is speculated that this helped her secure the TV series role. The new series and audiobooks aim to bring a fresh take on the beloved characters for a new generation of fans. Meanwhile, original Harry Potter cast member Jason Isaacs has recently taken on a new role in the indie thriller "Eleven Days," continuing his successful acting career post-Harry Potter.
