Massive Attack, Idles, Nile Rodgers to Perform in Liverpool
Massive Attack, IDLES, and Nile Rodgers will perform a series of concerts at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena from November 28 to 30 to celebrate the city being named the world's first 'UN Accelerator City' for climate action. Following their low-carbon concert in Bristol, these shows will implement various sustainable measures, including being powered entirely by renewable energy, encouraging public transport use with early show finishes, and offering a meat-free menu. Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja emphasized the need for decisive action in reducing carbon emissions in live events, stating that the recent Bristol show proved audiences support such initiatives. The localized presale for Liverpool residents will begin on September 25, with general tickets available from September 27. The concerts are part of the Act 1.5 climate action project, which aims to pioneer sustainable live music practices in collaboration with the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research.
