Rhiannon King Appointed Bishop of Southampton

The Venerable Rhiannon King has been appointed as the new bishop-designate of Southampton, succeeding acting bishop Geoff Anna. Currently the Archdeacon of Ipswich, she will be consecrated on October 18 and formally begin her role in November. King expressed her delight and humility at the appointment, emphasizing her commitment to support local churches and communities in their missions. Having previously held various leadership roles, she brings significant experience in parish ministry and a passion for inner-urban ministry and helping asylum seekers.
