Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner advanced to the men's semifinals by overcoming Andrey Rublev 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 under windy conditions. Sinner will face Alexander Zverev in his first Cincinnati semifinal. Frances Tiafoe also advanced to the semifinals after Hubert Hurkacz retired due to injury.
