Ecopetrol Approves 2025 Investment Budget

Ecopetrol has approved a 2025 investment budget ranging from 24 trillion to 28 trillion pesos, focusing heavily on crude oil and gas production, with 76% earmarked for generating between 740,000 and 745,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Additionally, 6.5 trillion pesos, or 24% of the budget, will be allocated to energy transition projects aimed at reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing sustainability. The investment also includes drilling between 455 and 465 development wells, primarily in Colombia, while supporting domestic gas demand with targeted gas investments.
