Four Arrested in D.C. Fire Extinguisher Theft Attempt at Chanel

Four men were arrested on Friday in an attempted robbery at a Chanel store in downtown D.C. The suspects used a fire extinguisher to create a diversion while trying to steal merchandise valued at over $217,000. However, police responded swiftly, and no items were successfully taken during the incident. This event marks the third time within 16 months that the same Chanel store has been targeted using similar tactics, with a previous robbery occurring just days before Christmas in 2023. In that incident, police arrested one individual, but others are still at large. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either robbery attempt.
