Miami Heat Sign Former Howard, Michigan Stars to NBA Contracts

Settle, a 6-foot-11 forward who played at Howard University and Temple University, signed an Exhibit 10 contract, giving him a chance to prove himself during training camp and potentially earn a two-way contract or roster spot. Known for his versatile play and strong three-point shooting, Settle was a key contributor to Howard's MEAC regular season and tournament championships. Goldin, a 7-foot center who played collegiate basketball at Texas Tech, Florida Atlantic, and Michigan, was signed to a two-way contract after a standout final season where he earned All-Big Ten first team honors and Big Ten Tournament MVP. The Heat are focusing on depth, especially at center, with Goldin expected to back up Bam Adebayo and Kel'el Ware, while also incorporating first-round pick Kasparas Jakucionis into their summer roster. These moves come as the Heat aim to improve after finishing 37-45 in the previous season and a first-round playoff exit.
