Modesto Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash with Big Rig
A 19-year-old woman from Modesto tragically died in a two-vehicle collision involving her Kia sedan and a big rig on West Grayson Road near Shiloh Road in Stanislaus County. According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving northbound from a driveway when she pulled directly into the path of the eastbound big rig, resulting in a fatal broadside collision. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and drugs or alcohol were not considered factors. The big rig driver, a 38-year-old man from Merced, was uninjured. The crash occurred near Camp Taylor, a nonprofit camp for children with heart disease, located at the driveway where the Kia exited. Authorities have expressed condolences to the family, and information about wrongful death claims has been highlighted as a possible support avenue for bereaved families facing financial and legal challenges following such fatal accidents.
