Charges Filed in Salman Khan Assassination Plot

Navi Mumbai police have uncovered a plot orchestrated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to assassinate Bollywood actor Salman Khan, with a contract of INR 2.5 million. Sukha, a suspected shooter, was arrested in Haryana and revealed plans involving the procurement of high-powered weapons from Pakistan, including AK-47s and M-16 rifles. The conspiracy involved monitoring Khan's movements with around 60-70 individuals tracking him, and recruits allegedly included minors. The assassination plot was reportedly conceived between August 2023 and April 2024, with a post-assassination escape plan to flee to Sri Lanka. The investigation into this plot was triggered by a previous firing incident at Khan's residence, prompting increased security around the actor. This incident follows a recent murder of a politician, raising concerns about the Bishnoi gang's ongoing threats against Khan.
