Richard Gadd Reveals New BBC, HBO Series Half Man

Richard Gadd, acclaimed for his multi-Emmy-winning Netflix series Baby Reindeer, has undergone a significant physical transformation for his new drama series Half Man, where he stars as Ruben alongside Jamie Bell as his estranged brother Niall. The six-episode series, co-created by BBC and HBO, spans nearly four decades from the 1980s to the present, exploring the complex highs and lows of the brothers' relationship amid a changing city and social landscape. Half Man delves into themes of family, identity, and masculinity, showcasing their fraught reunion at Niall's wedding which triggers a violent confrontation that catalyzes a retrospective journey through their past. The younger versions of the brothers are portrayed by Stuart Campbell and Mitchell Robertson, while the supporting cast includes Neve McIntosh, Marianne McIvor, and others. The series is written, created, and executive-produced by Gadd and is set to premiere in 2026 on BBC platforms and HBO Max.
