The British swimmer, who previously secured silver in the 100m at the Paris 2024 Olympics, stated he would '100%' participate if the 50m event was included. Peaty, the world record holder in the 50m breaststroke, expressed his excitement about this decision on social media, emphasizing its potential to benefit the sport and its athletes. With this new event, he aims to pursue medals in both the 50m and 100m breaststroke, as well as in relays, marking a potential fourth Olympic appearance.
