A 62-year-old woman was pushed onto the tracks at the Jefferson L train station in Brooklyn early Thursday morning after a man asked her for a lighter, leading to an argument. The incident occurred just before 6 a.m., and the woman sustained lacerations and swelling in her left foot but is in stable condition at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Bystanders pulled her to safety before a train arrived. The suspect fled the scene and is still at large. The NYPD is urging anyone with information to contact their Crime Stoppers hotline.
