Man Arrested Over Arson Damaging Bilston Pub, Seven Cars

A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a series of fires in Bilston, Wolverhampton. The incidents began with a pub on Church Street being set ablaze shortly before 4 a.m., causing damage to the building's front. Shortly after, seven vehicles caught fire on nearby Shale Street. West Midlands Police responded quickly and detained the suspect in the area, who is due to be questioned. The police have not disclosed the name of the pub involved. The swift action by officers followed reports of the suspected arson attack early on September 27.
