Pizza Hut is piloting a new restaurant design in Plano, Texas, introducing innovative features aimed at enhancing the customer experience and promoting sustainability. The prototype includes self-service kiosks, a Hut ‘N Go drive-thru menu offering quick pick-up items, contactless pick-up cabinets, and a guest-facing pizza-making station. This new concept, already used in 80 markets globally, aims to increase in-restaurant traffic and streamline customer interactions while incorporating energy-efficient appliances. This development comes as Pizza Hut seeks to modernize its technology and compete with dynamic rivals, despite recent sales declines in the U.S.
