Blue Man Group Ends Chicago Residency January 2025

The Blue Man Group, a renowned performance art company, is concluding its nearly 30-year residency in Chicago, with the final show scheduled for January 5, 2025. Since opening at the Briar Street Theatre in 1997, the group has captivated audiences with its unique blend of music, art, and humor, performed by a trio of blue-faced, mute characters. Despite the Chicago closure, the Blue Man Group will continue its shows in Boston and Las Vegas, while preparing for a new state-of-the-art theatre opening in Orlando in April 2025. Managing Director Jack Kenn expressed gratitude for the cast and crew's contributions, highlighting the show's significant impact over the years. The group, originally formed in New York in the late 1980s, has expanded to multiple cities globally, including past productions in Berlin and Shanghai.
