World's Largest Legoland Opens in Shanghai with 75+ Attractions

The world's largest Legoland resort officially opened in Shanghai, marking the first Legoland in China and the 11th globally. Spanning 318,000 square meters and built with over 85 million Lego bricks, the resort offers more than 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions across eight themed areas, including China-specific features like the Monkey King and replicas of Shanghai's Bund and Beijing's Temple of Heaven. Developed collaboratively by the LEGO Group, Merlin Entertainments, and Shanghai government entities, the resort is designed for children aged 2 to 12 and aims to blend global Lego experiences with rich Chinese cultural elements. The opening has significantly boosted local tourism, evidenced by a surge in hotel bookings in the Jinshan district, with most visitors coming from across China rather than Shanghai itself.
