Yungblud has announced 'Idols,' the first part of an ambitious double album set for release on June 20, which he describes as a 'love letter to self-reclamation, to rock music, and to life.' The album, recorded in Leeds, marks his fourth studio release and features recent singles 'Hello Heaven, Hello' and 'Lovesick Lullaby.' Yungblud emphasizes that the project is focused on feeling and world-building rather than singles, aiming for a work without limitations. Thematically, 'Idols' explores concepts of hero worship, self-belief, and the struggle for self-identity in a world obsessed with comparison and validation. The album is influenced by classic rock acts like Oasis, The Verve, and David Bowie, and was created with the intention of recapturing a sense of magic and rebellion. Yungblud's Bludfest event will also return on June 21, coinciding with the album's release.
