Indiana Pacers Sign Ray J Dennis to Two-Way Deal

The Indiana Pacers have signed Ray J Dennis to a two-way contract, replacing Tristen Newton whom they recently waived. Dennis, an undrafted rookie out of Baylor, has been performing well with the San Diego Clippers in the G League, averaging 16.7 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Known for his playmaking abilities, Dennis will primarily play with the Pacers' G League affiliate, the Indiana Mad Ants. This move is part of the Pacers' strategy to bolster their roster amid a challenging season start, where they stand 16-18 in the Eastern Conference. Dennis, who briefly held a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards before being waived, joins Quenton Jackson and Enrique Freeman as the Pacers' players on two-way contracts. Under NBA rules, Dennis will be limited to 50 NBA games and won't be eligible for playoff play should the Pacers qualify.
