Xi Jinping to Visit Macau for Anniversary

Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit Macau from December 18 to 20 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the region's handover from Portuguese to Chinese sovereignty. During his visit, he will attend the inauguration ceremony of the new government, led by Chief Executive-elect Sam Hou Fai, who was the sole candidate in a largely pro-establishment election. The celebrations will include a banquet and performance at the Macau Dome, where the swearing-in ceremony will take place.
