No Fatalities in Gatlinburg Five-Vehicle Crash
A five-vehicle crash occurred at about 4:14 p.m. on June 1 in the 700 block of Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, injuring at least six people. Three victims were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, and three more were taken by ambulance. The collision caused extensive damage, with some vehicles ending up on sidewalks, and prompted hours-long road closures that severely disrupted traffic in the busy tourist area. Authorities say no fatalities have been reported. The cause is still under investigation by the Gatlinburg Police and Tennessee Highway Patrol, with preliminary reports suggesting a possible medical episode. Officials are asking anyone with information to come forward.
