The newly opened stores are designed to provide affordable groceries and modern conveniences like cashier-less checkout and fast delivery options. Despite this growth, 22 locations remain unoccupied, leading to lawsuits from landlords. Amazon remains committed to refining and expanding its grocery concept to compete with market leaders like Walmart and Kroger.
