Todd Hiett steps down
Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Todd Hiett has stepped down as chairman amid allegations of sexual misconduct and alcoholism. He is accused of groping a lawyer during a drunken incident at a Minnesota conference, as well as facing new allegations from employees regarding inappropriate behavior at a party in Oklahoma City. Hiett admitted to struggling with alcoholism and stated his need to focus on recovery and his family, while he remains on the commission. Commissioner Kim David has taken over as chair, and there are calls for an independent investigation into Hiett's conduct. While he denies memory of the alleged groping incident, he has promised to cooperate fully with any investigations. The Oklahoma House Democrats have also urged Governor Kevin Stitt to consider impeachment proceedings against Hiett.
