IOA President Issues Notice to Treasurer Yadav

PT Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), has issued a show cause notice to Treasurer Sahdev Yadav following a complaint alleging violations of the National Sports Code regarding tenure limits. The complaint claims Yadav's continued position violates the rule mandating officials to step down after 12 consecutive years; he has been involved with the Indian Weightlifting Federation for 15 years. Usha's letter, dated September 10, requests Yadav to respond by September 24 and has also been sent to Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and IOC's Jerome Poivey. Similar allegations have been raised against other IOA officials, including Ajay Patel, Bhupinder Singh Bajwa, and Rajlakshmi Singh Deo. This incident highlights ongoing tensions within the IOA, with Usha asserting that Executive Council members have been sidelining her. The complainant, whose identity remains confidential, demands immediate action against the implicated officials.
