71-Year-Old Driver Dies in Ormskirk Crash

A 71-year-old man died after his Ford Focus Zetec left the road and crashed on New Cut Lane in Halsall, Ormskirk, shortly after 1pm on March 30. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene, and police stated that no other vehicles were involved in the incident. Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to assist in their ongoing investigation into the crash. The man's family is being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers during this difficult time. Police have cordoned off the area as enquiries continue, and they confirmed that an air ambulance was present at the scene earlier.
