Technician accused of raping drugged patient in Florida hospital

Jeff Doresca, a 37-year-old technician at the Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center in Oakland Park, Florida, has been arrested on six counts of sexual battery for allegedly raping a 32-year-old patient multiple times while she was drowsy from medication. The assaults reportedly occurred over a single night after the patient had self-admitted for schizophrenia and depression treatment. Surveillance footage showed Doresca entering the victim's room multiple times, and a roommate witnessed at least one of the incidents but assumed it was consensual as the victim did not resist. Doresca allegedly instructed the woman to shower and watched her, later fondling and assaulting her while she was incapacitated. Authorities fear there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with similar experiences to come forward. Doresca is currently held without bond as investigations continue.
