Teachers Sentenced for Student Sexual Abuse

Ajaz Karim, a former sports master at Eton and teacher at Christ's Hospital, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for indecently assaulting a girl, adding to his previous 10-year sentence for similar offenses. Despite his convictions, Karim continues to deny the allegations, which forced the victim to testify about the abuse she suffered as a teenager. In a separate case, Caroline Johnson, a 36-year-old former teacher, received a one-year prison sentence for engaging in a sexual relationship with a student, highlighting the legal restrictions against such relationships in educational settings. Ronald Forde, another teacher, has pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting a young student and was described as a “selfish demon” by the victim's family during his sentencing hearing. Forde's offenses, which included accessing child pornography, were uncovered by the victim's brother. These cases underscore ongoing issues of sexual misconduct and exploitation in educational environments.
