Wanted Criminal Rajesh Killed in Police Encounter
A notorious criminal named Rajesh, who was wanted in over 48 criminal cases and had a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh on his head, was killed in a police encounter in Bulandshahr on Sunday. The incident occurred during a police operation involving the SWAT team and local police, who were attempting to apprehend Rajesh and another suspect on a motorcycle. Upon being intercepted, the suspects opened fire on the police, resulting in an exchange of gunfire where Rajesh was injured and later succumbed to his wounds en route to the hospital. Two police personnel, including Station House Officer Young Bahadur and Constable Arif, were injured during the encounter but are reported to be out of danger. Rajesh had a lengthy criminal record, including charges of murder, robbery, and attempted murder, and was actively pursued by law enforcement in both Bulandshahr and Aligarh. Investigations are ongoing following the incident.
