Xbox Game Pass August 2025: Key Additions, Removals

Microsoft has announced the first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for August 2025, with Assassin's Creed Mirage becoming available to Ultimate and PC subscribers on August 7. Other new arrivals include Rain World, the returning co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and the roguelike strategy game 9 Kings. Several games previously exclusive to the Ultimate tier, such as Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector and MechWarrior 5: Clans, are now accessible to Standard tier subscribers, broadening their selection. On August 15, Anthem, Farming Simulator 22, and Persona 3 Reload will leave the service, with Anthem's removal preceding its server shutdown. The update provides a mix of major and indie titles, catering to a wide range of players. These changes come amid recent industry layoffs and game cancellations.
