Colossal Biosciences has launched its Australian headquarters in Melbourne and appointed Dr. Andrew Pask, a leading expert in de-extinction science, as its Chief Biology Officer. Pask, who leads the Thylacine Integrated Genomic Restoration Research Lab (TIGGR) at the University of Melbourne, will oversee Colossal Australia, global embryology, and exogenous development systems, consolidating all related research under the new entity. This strategic expansion reflects Colossal's intensified commitment to restoring biodiversity in Australia, New Zealand, and Tasmania, focusing on species like the thylacine, Northern quoll, and native frogs and birds. The partnership with the University of Melbourne integrates Pask's lab fully into Colossal, bridging academic research with real-world conservation efforts.
