Two Arrested for Comic Store Burglary

Phillip Clodfelter, 42, and Kelly Garner, 64, were arrested in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for stealing approximately $8,000 worth of Magic: The Gathering cards from Grand Adventures Comics and Games. The duo broke in by shattering the store's front door, and surveillance footage captured them wearing Halloween masks, one resembling Michael Myers and the other a nun from 'The Town.' Their getaway was thwarted after Smyrna police stopped their vehicle for erratic driving, where stolen cards were in plain sight. They are also suspected of attempting another burglary at Grand Slam Collectibles on the same night and may be linked to similar crimes in Brentwood and Nashville. Both men face multiple charges, including burglary and theft, and are currently held on a $48,000 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. The investigation continues as authorities explore additional connections to other burglaries.
