Google Gemini Adds Scheduled Actions, Eyes Wider Rollout

Google has launched 'Scheduled Actions' for its Gemini AI assistant, allowing AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, as well as select Google Workspace business and education users, to automate tasks like daily email summaries, blog brainstorming, and timed reminders. Users can manage these recurring or one-off prompts within the Gemini app, with integration across Google services such as Calendar, Gmail, and Docs for centralized organization. This move brings Gemini closer to the functionality of ChatGPT, which introduced scheduled tasks earlier in the year. While Scheduled Actions are currently limited to paid subscribers, Google may expand access to free users in the future.
