Warm Weekend Weather Expected Across Northeast, Mid-Atlantic
Across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, a brief period of frost and cool temperatures gives way to a significant warm-up heading into the weekend, with highs reaching the upper 70s to mid-80s in many areas. Frost advisories are in effect for Thursday morning in regions such as Maryland and parts of North Carolina, but these are expected to be short-lived as sunny skies and southerly winds bring much warmer conditions by Friday and Saturday. While most areas will enjoy dry and mild weather, some places like Northeast Ohio and the Boston area can expect gusty winds and a chance of showers or thunderstorms, especially late Friday and into Saturday. Despite the warmth, humidity is forecast to remain low, keeping conditions comfortable overall. Shower chances remain slim for much of the weekend, though isolated showers or storms are possible, particularly as weather systems approach from the west. The warming trend is expected to continue into next week, with temperatures remaining above average for mid-April.
