FX's 'Shōgun' Sweeps 40th Annual TCA Awards
The Television Critics Association Awards for 2024 showcased FX's 'Shogun' as the standout, winning four awards, including Program of the Year and Individual Achievement in Drama for Anna Sawai. HBO's 'Hacks' also excelled, sweeping the comedy categories with Jean Smart winning Individual Achievement in Comedy. Other winners included Netflix's 'John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In LA' for Outstanding Achievement in Variety and Investigation Discovery's 'Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV' for Outstanding Achievement in News and Information. The TCA Awards recognized the late Andre Braugher with the Career Achievement Award and honored 'Twin Peaks' with the Heritage Award. The winners were chosen by a group of over 200 professional TV critics and journalists from the US and Canada.
