Chad Bowes, a New Zealand cricketer, set a new record for the fastest double century in men's List A cricket by reaching the milestone in just 103 balls during a Ford Trophy match against Otago. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by India's Narayan Jagadeesan and Australia's Travis Head, who both reached their double centuries in 114 balls. Bowes scored 205 runs off 110 balls, including 27 fours and seven sixes, contributing to Canterbury's total score of 343/9. His performance was crucial in securing a 240-run victory for Canterbury as Otago managed only 103 runs. Bowes' innings was part of his 100th List A match, and his remarkable feat adds to his career, which includes playing for New Zealand in ODI and T20I formats. Despite his recent success, Bowes was not selected for the upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka.
