Nashville Pride 2025: Expanded Lineup, New Challenges

The 2025 Nashville Pride Festival will feature headliners Kim Petras, 4 Non Blondes, and Big Freedia, along with over 140 acts including Dragonette and Jake Wesley Rogers, performing across three stages and supported by more than 225 vendors. For the first time, the festival will introduce a Friday night concert, headlined by Kim Petras. Big Freedia will showcase both her signature bounce sound and gospel influences, exploring the intersection of queer identity and faith. Nashville Pride president Tina Tousignant has highlighted urgent funding needs, as some sponsors have withdrawn in response to funding cuts and federal anti-DEI policies. The event takes place amid restrictive Tennessee laws affecting transgender rights and LGBTQ+ protections, providing a backdrop of both celebration and activism. Parade grand marshals include Abby Wambach, Glennon Doyle, and Joy Oladokun, reinforcing the festival's commitment to visibility and advocacy.
