Human Remains of Missing Tamaqua Man Jesse Farber Identified After 10 Years

Human remains found in July 2025 in Walker Township, Schuylkill County, have been positively identified as Jesse Lee Farber, a Tamaqua man missing since 2015. The discovery was made by ATV riders who notified state police, leading to the recovery and laboratory confirmation of the remains. Additional searches in the area, aided by the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office and the Northeast Search and Rescue canine team, uncovered more remains linked to Farber. The identification followed years of investigation and community efforts, including analysis of Farber's cell tower data to pinpoint new search zones. Farber’s family expressed mixed emotions, grateful for the confirmation yet saddened by the loss, and stated that further specialized searches are planned. Authorities continue to investigate Farber's death and seek information from the public.
