Pro Football Hall of Fame Reveals 2025 Senior Candidates

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced a list of 60 senior candidates for the Class of 2025, including notable players like Roger Craig, Ken Anderson, and L.C. Greenwood. This year, a new process involved a Seniors Screening Committee narrowing down 183 nominees to those eligible for induction who played before 2000. Among the candidates are five former quarterbacks, including Jim Plunkett, and several defensive stars from legendary teams of the 1970s. The next step involves a nine-member Seniors Blue Ribbon Committee selecting three finalists to be voted on for induction. Clay Matthews Jr. and other former players with significant careers are also part of the mix, highlighting their long-discussed merits for enshrinement. The final class will be announced before Super Bowl LVIX in 2025.
