Real American Freestyle (RAF), a new amateur wrestling promotion led by Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, has secured an exclusive streaming deal with Fox Nation for its inaugural event, RAF 01, scheduled for August 30 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. The broadcast team features Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle alongside MMA personalities Chael Sonnen and Bubba Jenkins, aiming to bring freestyle wrestling to a broader audience through a blend of elite athleticism and entertainment. The event will showcase high-profile matchups, including athletes like Yianni Diakomihalis, Sarah Hildebrandt, and Kennedy Blades, with a second event planned for the fall. Despite slow ticket sales with only 639 tickets reported distributed out of over 13,000 seats, the partnership reflects Fox Nation's commitment to expanding its subscriber base by offering unique sports content. RAF commissioner Hulk Hogan emphasized the synergy between RAF and Fox Nation, highlighting their shared goal of popularizing the sport. Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson expressed enthusiasm about contributing to a new era of wrestling that fuses athleticism with entertainment.
