Giants, Lions Fined for Practice Fights

The NFL has fined both the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions $200,000 each for multiple fights during their joint practices earlier this week. The brawls, which involved key players such as Giants rookie Malik Nabers and Lions safety Kerby Joseph, forced the teams to cut practice short on the final day. The NFL had previously issued a memo warning teams that fighting and unprofessional conduct at joint practices would not be tolerated. Despite the fines, both head coaches, Dan Campbell and Brian Daboll, considered the practices productive, citing the benefits of competing against different opponents. This is the first reported fine from joint practice scuffles this season.
