South African Sports Minister Investigated for Racial Slurs Amid Apartheid Legacy Debate

South Africa’s Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie is under investigation by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for historic social media posts in which he used one of the country’s most offensive racial slurs, the "kaffir" word, a term deemed unlawful and profoundly offensive by the constitutional court.
