NASCAR's Austin Cindric to Compete in Adelaide Supercars Finale

Austin Cindric, a NASCAR Cup Series driver and 2022 Daytona 500 winner, is set to make his debut in the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship finale at the Adelaide Grand Final from November 28-30. Racing as a wildcard entry for Tickford Racing in a Ford Mustang, Cindric will compete alongside primary team drivers in a winner-takes-all championship weekend. Having previously raced in Australia’s Bathurst 12 Hour and tested a Supercars vehicle, Cindric expressed excitement to compete against top Supercars drivers and enjoy the atmosphere of the Australian event. Supported by Ford Performance, this crossover highlights growing collaboration between NASCAR and Supercars, following recent moves by drivers like Shane van Gisbergen from Supercars to NASCAR. The event marks a rare transition from NASCAR to Supercars, as past attempts to bring other NASCAR Cup champions to the series did not materialize.
