Wyatt Omsberg Joins New England Revolution
The New England Revolution have signed defender Wyatt Omsberg to a one-year contract through the 2025 MLS season, with an option for 2026. Omsberg, a 29-year-old Maine native, has extensive experience in MLS, having played 67 matches over seven seasons with Minnesota United and the Chicago Fire. He brings valuable depth to the Revolution's backline, which aims to improve after a disappointing 14th-place finish last season, where they allowed 74 goals. Both head coach Caleb Porter and sporting director Curt Onalfo expressed confidence in Omsberg's ability to strengthen their central defense. Omsberg, who was drafted in the first round of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, previously excelled at Dartmouth College and in high school soccer in Maine. The Revolution will kick off their 2025 season on February 22 against Nashville SC.
