Anita Verma-Lallian, a film producer and real estate developer, has purchased Matthew Perry's former Los Angeles home for $8.5 million, nearly a year after the actor's tragic death. In an Instagram post, she expressed her immediate affection for the property, particularly its Pacific Ocean views, and noted that she plans to honor Perry's legacy while making it her vacation home. Verma-Lallian, who is Hindu, performed a blessing ceremony with a Panditji soon after acquiring the property, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the home's history. She aims to retain some design elements, including the Batman logo in the pool, as a tribute to Perry's life and the joy he brought to many. Perry died in October 2023 from the acute effects of ketamine, leading to investigations and charges against multiple individuals connected to his struggles with addiction. Verma-Lallian clarified that her decision to buy the home was based on her love for it rather than its previous occupant.
