Elden Ring Nightreign Adds Duo Mode, DLC Incoming

Elden Ring: Nightreign, FromSoftware's new multiplayer roguelite, sold 3.5 million copies in its first week and has received mixed reviews due to missing launch features like duo co-op and crossplay, as well as challenging solo play. The developer responded by confirming future DLC and the addition of a Duo Mode, alongside patches improving solo experiences. Director Junya Ishizaki stated that all bosses can be soloed, as he accomplished this himself without using relics, and encouraged players to attempt solo play. The game features a three-player focus, familiar Soulsborne combat, increased rune rewards for solo adventurers, and more plentiful high-rarity Relics. Quest progression has been made easier with new quest markers for Remembrance Quests. FromSoftware has committed to ongoing support with further updates and DLC planned for later in the year.
